We Love Puppies!

Puppies! Our sweet Boxer Mia had 9 puppies 3 weeks ago! We lost 2 of them, and now have 6 girls and 1 boy. Yep 1 boy! They are the cutest puppies ever! Phoenixx is so cute with them. At first he was scared of these little creatures, and now we go out countless times a day to hold them. They are pure bred, and I have been begging Nate to keep one. That would mean 3 Big dogs- don't think I am going to win this fight! Phoenixx' asthma has disappeared, so we no longer have the stress of our "other kids" (Merl and Mia) effecting Phoenixx in that way. We will be finding the puppies new homes Oct. 1st if you have anyone who would be interested, have them call us!

Phoenixx couldn't handle watching his cousins, Cole and Payton jumping in FREEZING cold water up AF canyon for a whole DOLLaR! (Pretty cheap pay, considering a lost tooth cost 5 bucks these days). He just had to do it himself. He would SloWly bend down and dunk his head in seriously freezing water and then pop up to get some laughs. I think I've got only a couple more months were we can pay him in laughs doing something outright amusing for us boring adults- $$$ is just around the corner!

Can it be true? Yes it can! I quit my job!!! Really, Really. I am no longer a traveling maniac. I will still do some freelance for Sanitas in the future, but I just couldn't keep traveling every week when it was breaking my heart every time to leave my little booger Phoenixx. So- on to the next step in my life. YES I will still be working- but for another company selling as an independent and I have more freedom then I have had in YEaRs!!! I am so happy and relieved on so many levels! I feel like I can take a deep breath now and might just have enough time in the day to do all the wonderful things I love to do!

Phoenixx is getting bigger, smarter and more stubborn! He is a brillant little man, and I just love everything he does. (Minus the pinching, biting, pulling hair and head butting...haha)

Nate is working for an Ice Company, driving and he is preparing to go to school in NYC in January for Nutrition. I cAn'T wait!!! It is so exciting, sometimes I can't stop smiling for him and us!

We went camping last weekend and could not PRY Phoenixx' hands off the 4-wheeler! He was in 7th Heaven the entire weekend! We had a blast and are way pumped for MAnY more adventures in the Wild!!

We had a BLAST in Seattle this last weekend! I couldn't ask for a better trip, or better family than the Forsyths! We were fed like Kings- including smoked bbq, pork tacos, red velvet cupcakes, chili verde and huevos rancheros!!!! Seriously! I probably gained 5 lbs, and I don't even care!:) I love Seattle so much, even though it rained quite a bit, it is so freaking beautiful and I love how people aren't in a hurry there! It might just be my home one day...

I wanted to take Phoenixx' 18 month pictures soon, and decided what better place than the red mountains in St. George while we were there this last week. Phoenixx was having so much fun, and was so intriqued by everything, it made it a little hard to get his attention. But we had a blast and there is nothing better than SUNSHINE! He is getting so big, he is forsure not a baby anymore!!!

Well now that spring has arrived, Phoenixx wants to go outside every second of every day. He puts on his shoes (sometimes backwards), goes to the door and says Bye Bye. Of course he can't reach the door knob good enough yet, so he just keeps getting progressively louder- Bye-Bye, Bye-Bye.
And if we don't go outside- this is the melt down we get, (please see photo number 2) LOL!

I Heart Texas

I had an amazing trip to Texas! It's like going home for me. My parents grew up in a VERY small town, Sweetwater Texas and I have such great memories going to visit. I was in Austin 2 days and went to visit my aunt and grandmother the other 2. I have always loved Austin, would move there if I could. I found out my mom lived there in her early 20's which was fun to find out. I SO enjoyed being with my aunt Trisha and Grannana. I have missed them both so much, and even though it was such a short trip, it was very needed. They both remind me so much of my mom, and it is so comforting to be with them!!! Love you both!!!

Oh my gosh it has not been since Christmas since I last posted something!! haha Facebook has officially taken over my life in the world of "posting". But I got off the phone with my Aunt Trisha and Grannana today and realized this is how they keep up to date with my little family, so I vow to post more often.

Life is moving along great! I am still traveling quite a bit for work, but Nate and Phoenixx get to tag along often. We are going to Las Vegas and St. George at the end of the month and Seattle in April- CAN'T WAIT TO SEE AUNTIE DIANE!!!!!

As you can see, Phoenixx' lucious blond locks are gone!!! It started out with a trim, after realizing that one side of his bangs was an inch shorter than the other and that he was much closer to a mulet, we pulled out the clippers. I actually really LOVE his short cut! You can see his beautiful eyes. Although, I am sure I will grow it out again, but from now on a professional is cutting my childs hair!!! lol

Nate is planning on going to Nutrition school in NYC starting January 2010. I can't wait! I am hoping to get to go as well, but we will see if its going to work out at the same time. It is a 7 month program, including 8 weekends in NYC, everything else is done online.

I painted my guest bathroom for the 4th time!!! hahahaha Aubrie asked me what my issue is with that bathroom, and I couldn't tell ya! But I do know I am more than satisfied this time!

Christmas was great this year! Like I thought I would, I out did myself with calorie intake!! Ha. That is the ONLY down fall in having both in-laws in Utah. 2 dinners for every holiday.

Phoenixx had a blast with all his new toys. He called everything a CHOO CHOO if it had wheels. He was so precious. We got to open up presents at 8am, which I think will be the last time in a LONG time that we wake up that late for Christmas!

Well You can only imagine how much has happened since my last post, how long has it been?? I'm fired. We sent off Nate's little bro Joel to Chile, Santiago East Mission. I am so proud of him!!! We dropped him off at the MTC and we got to watch that REALLY cheesy Called to Serve video. I still cried watching the moving.:) I told Nate I wanted to go on another mission now!ha I love that all you have to focus on is other people and service. We got these pics from him in the MTC, and I would like to know what kind of time they had on their hands!! I don't remember any extra time in the MTC:) I am so pumped he is already in Chile, he and I will be live long rivels (Agentina vs. Chile)!

Nate and I also went to ANOTHER Bears game, Yah I know, we have a sickness. It was a blast despite the fact that it was 6 degrees for the NIGHT game! Crazy. We won in over time, it was such a stressful game we both couldn't even yell the last half- and Nate still lost his voice! ha

We then went to my company work party in Denver (first picture). I have made so many new wonderful friends, who I adore! It was fun for Nate to be able to meet them. When we got home Phoenixx looked horrible when we picked him up- we went straight to Urgent care. He had Strep, 2 ear infections- 1 ear drum had burst and bronchiolitis. WOW. He has never been really sick, so it was a tough experience for Nate and I to watch him go through! He is SOOOO much better now, he is almost completely healthy. It makes me remember how lucky I am to have a healthy boy.

If I don't get to write until Christmas (probably won't) MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Hope its filled with lots of LOVE and lots of calories!!!

Our 2010 Awaken Calendar's officially got a Publisher!!! We had been accepted month ago, but it is OFFICIAL now! :) I can't stop smiling. I am so excited Stef and I did it, I can't wait to see what it becomes! I now am jonesin' to write a book now that we are in with a publisher.... that's when I have a few extra minutes to write it! ha. For anyone that wants to buy the 2009 calendar they are already done! My New Job

Whoohoo! I got a new job (well a month ago, but this is the first moment I have had to blog:) I love it, it is with another skincare line- by far the best skincare I have ever sold. I am a rep for a huge territory which includes Seattle... Hooray I get to see Diane more often! It was a huge blessing how it came along. The second I started looking for a job I was introduced to Sanitas (by Diane) and got the job really fast. My first weekend was at an Orlando tradeshow (above pics) and I had a blast. I have already made life long friends and can't wait to ROCK my territory!!! Nate is the best husband and dad EVER!! He truely knows how to support me, take care of me and FEED me! I love him for helping me through this last rough month with starting a new job, I have had very stressful moments but he keeps making me laugh even when I don't want to. I love you Babe!

Our annual Bears Trip was a BLAST! Chicago in October is gorgeous, and perfect and wonderful. I really needed the break, 1- because I just started a new job (that I love!) working for another skincare line as a rep and it is a lot of work! 2- Nate and I haven't been away by ourselves since the darling Phoenixx joined our family, so it was much needed. We ate like KRAP! I really think we gained 10 pounds each, hot dogs, pizza (2x), ice cream, pasta- man oh man it was good. We also celebrated Nate's Bday on the day of the Bears game- good thing they won, barely. It was 41-48 Bears. I swear there was a touch down every 5 minutes!! Nates Best friend, Rodney and his friend Cory came with us. It was nice having 3 boys and me, I think I scared Cory off!:) I can be alittle feisty and that was new to him.haha Well back to reality we go. I can't wait to dress Phoenixx up this weekend for Halloween, and we also get to see Phoenixx's AUNTS (Dana and Kathy) in November for Thanksgiving.... can't wait!!!!

WHO COULD BELIEVE MY BABY IS ALREADY 1!!! (On Oct. 8th) Truely I am blown away with how fast time flies! Just one year ago, I was about to enter the unknown world of children, and had no idea what it would really be like. I will never forget the doctor putting Phoenixx in my arms, and how that moment I knew nothing on earth would ever compare to being a mom. Nate and I are still on a high. When we brought him home, we would fight over who got to hold him. We still lay in bed (for way to long) in mornings, just playing and cuddling with Phoenixx. He has gotten so big, he loves driving his toy car around everywhere in the house, he loves oatmeal, he loves his cousins, he has a squeal that will burst your ear drums, he tolerates the dogs, he adores his dad and loves his mama. He is the best thing that has ever happened to Nate and I and I am grateful every day he is our baby.

COULD THERE BE A SWEETER GIRL??

Savana is my niece and we took pictures of her entire family this week. It was so fun to take pictures of her, she is quite the model. She is ONLY 3!!!! And did what ever I asked her to. When her mom was pregnant with her, I felt a connection right away and since she was born (I got to be there to see her birth) I have loved her so much . She is extremely smart, fun, sweet and HELPFUL, especially with Phoenixx. I absolutely adore this little girl!!! Her new favorite thing is sleeping over at my house and her mom isn't allowed. ha

CLEAN HOUSE

I call my sister Stef up on Friday, asking where I could find a laundry mat around here. I had about 12-15 loads of laundry to do, (For the last 6 months) haahaha. Really, I have not been on top of it for sooooo long! SO she comes over, taking half of it in her car to do at her house to make it easier to do the rest at mine. Once she got here, she was so overly excited to organize my laundry room to make it more fun to do my laundry, that excitement spewed over to my closet, which turned into my bedroom which turned into Phoenixx's room and so on. In THREE days we cleaned out my ENTIRE house, closets, cabinets- kitchen and all. And lets not forget our basement project!!! I soooooo wish we had a before picture! It would only do these pictures justice. We cleaned out every bin (mouse poo and all)!! Okay I just did it! I outed myself, yes we have HAD mice (HATE THEM!!) and I was so overwhelmed with the project of cleaning out my basement! Stefanie is more than an Angel, she is my saving GRACE! I could never stick my hands in other peoples mouse poo~ Oh boy!

We took a HUGE load to the dump and a HUGE load to D.I. I can not explain the joy I feel!!! I feel lighter than EVER getting rid of soooo much crap I will never use again! I got down to 6 Bins in storage with room left in them. My life feels more in ORDeR and I can breath better- little dramatic, but true! If any of you need help getting rid of your StuFF that you have packed away CALL MY SISTER! She won't let you hold onto anything that you describe as "maybe I'll use that again!!"

Last weekend, Phoenixx and I went to Seattle for the Daskin Sprint Triathlon. It was quite the trip. I have only traveled with Phoenixx on a plane by myself once and it was alot harder than planned. He cried the entire flight there and most on the way home. The night before the TRI he woke up at 12:30am wide awake. He was wrestling me in bed, squawking and so on. He didn't go back down until 3:30am and I got up at 5am for the race. It was raining and lightening at 5am which made me nervous for the swim in the lake. Once we got there I mustard up energy and did it. I absolutely loved the bike and the run, the swim on the other hand- at least I didn't almost drown this year. haha. I was with 3 great girlfriends and none of us really trained for the race. I kept thinking the whole race "NEXT YEAR" I'll train. LOL. I never train for anything, wishful thinking. The funniest thing about the weekend was Phoenixx scaring Dianes dog, chasing him all around. That bully- gets it from his dad:)

Dana and Kathy had their first NFL Cardinals Game Last week, and I couldn't make it! I was at a national sales meeting in Chicago and couldn't get out there in time. I was so sad!! They are cheering together this yr. and are on the same line. I can't imagine how much fun they are having! They look awesome in the pictures and have to say they are the HOTTEST ones on the team!!!! I am so happy for them both, that they are dancing and still LIVIN' life to the fullest!! Can't wait to see you guys!!!!

I can't believe it has almost been A YEAR!!! Where did the time go? Where did my baby go? I am in toddler land people! Phoenixx is not a baby anymore, his personality shines more and more every day! We can not keep this child still. He must have a lot of me in him! But he IS in a stage right now where he will just lay on us and CUDDLE. Oh man do I love that!

It is FINALLY done!! I have updated my website and am not planning on doing it again any time soon!! ha! I have never taken a computer class, so I am sure I am spending triple the time it should take to build a website! I am so happy it is done!

Wasatch Back Relay

I ran the Wasatch Back Relay last weekend. I loved every second of it! I ran with my sister in law and friend and Apes and her sisters. I truely loved all my legs and ended up running close to 14 miles in 19 hours. All my times were perfect times of the day- much different from the first time I ran it. I also had Nate meet us in Coleville with the trailer so we got a whoppin 2 hours of GOOD sleep. (what a sweet heart). My second leg I got passed at the very end of the leg by a man. I was going to let him go, but when he looked back at me to make sure he was going to beat me it pissed me off! So I booked it to beat him right at the last! It was so beautiful where we ran and it made me truely appreciate where we live. I loved it all!!

FIRST NIGHT

This Last weekend I spent the first night away from Phoenixx. Actually the first 3 nights. I had a trade show in Vegas so Nate dropped me off in Vegas and spent the weekend with his sis in St. George. Nate did awesome with Phoenixx the entire weekend. After my little break down as I was leaving, I ended up doing really well. I have to admit a full night rest was FABULOUS!! Phoenixx is getting so BiG!! He is a crawling maniac! Last night he had a hard night. After getting up a few times, I asked Nate to get up with him around 4am. As we both walked into the room, Phoenixx was standing up in his crib reaching for Nate and he said "DADA"!!!!! Yes, I heard it- or I would have not believed he said dad before mom!!! Nate is sure proud. But soon after at 7am, he was in his crib and said "MAMA"! Wow that is amazing! Both in the same day. Although Nate will make sure to ALWAYS remind me he said dad first! ha. I love this stage so much, I can't say enough.

Nate and I got Cabin Fever last weekend and just went up Spanish Fork Canyon. It was beautiful and very therapeutic for me to get away from my Labtop!:) It got quite cold the second day and I have realized I am a PRINCESS in the cold! Or maybe it is because winter is still going on and its JUNE!!! Okay so I am really really ready for WARMTH!

We are headed to AZ on Thursday, I am sure I will experience a little there! ha.

Phoenixx is on the VERGE of crawling!! He is on all Fours Rocking AWAY. I really don't know how I feel about this... I am excited he is getting so big but to be so mobile scares the crap out of me! :) I have lots to do to child proof this house and better get goin' on it.

He is so dang cute! Nate and I LaUGh when we have moments of dis-stress with Phoenixx, because his hardest days are still quite easy. He is starting to grab for us, and ReAlLY know his mama and daddy. If he is EveR having a hard moment, we can turn on Super Cross (dirt biking) and he is Glued- seriously glued!! Like Father, Like Son.

Every Mother's Day is different for me without my mom here and surprisingly enough, I feel so extremely grateful and comforted this mother's day! Having Phoenixx in my life has changed everything! I appreciate my mom so much more and ALL the many sacrifices she made for me and my family! The one thing that she did that I would love to learn is enjoyed every MINUTE! She had so much fun always and was constantly finding more and more ways to stimulate, teach and encourage us. As much as I would love to have her here to take care of Phoenixx, go shopping with or just to be able to talk, she is with me all the time. I feel her laugh, her smile and her love.

We went to Phoenix last weekend AGAIN and flew this time!! I needed some quality time with Paytie and the Sun and that is exactly what we got! When you fly with a baby you have to fill out a form with the babies name, I of course put Phoenixx and we kept getting asked what our childs name was, "Phoenixx"... No not where you are traveling, what is your childs name?? Ha. Uncle Matt's nickname for him now is "Scottsdale"! :)

Nate and I got a wild hair last Sunday and decided to drive Dana and Payton's stuff down to their new apt. in AZ. As many of you know, Dana likes to move alot, but that doesn't mean she knows how to pack light! ha. We looked like the Beverly Hill Billies! I wish we had a picture of the truck and trailor. It took us 12 hours to get there. It was the longest trip for Phoenixx and he did quite well considering. We got there and had only one full day to play. Well, unpack and surprise paint Dan's house while she was at work. It was so much fun though. I miss Dana, Kat and Payton so much. UNCLE Darrell and UNCLE Matt got to meet Phoenixx for the first time. Phoenixx ate teething biscuits and became a dirty baby for the first time, Phoenixx saw the sun for the first time and Nate and I got out of a ticket for the 1st time! :)

So, as many of you know, my husband is an avid hunter. A little over a year ago, he came up with this grand idea, that I, Brianne Hovey was going to one day go hunting with him. Not just go up to the middle of NO WHERE with bears, coyotes, mountain lions and who knows what else. No, no I already do that. He thinks I am going to actually be the hunter! It doesn't help that 2 of his best friends have turned their wives over to the dark side! Darn you Becky and Ashley!

So then I tell Nate if he will take a CLOGGING class with me, learn a dance and compete it on stage, I will go hunting with him. Silly me, thinking this is the LAST thing Nate would ever do, he agreed!!!!!! Oh my gosh, he is crazy. Can you imagine my 6'2" husband in clogging shoes. Just the other night he brought it up again, that he is fully willing to become a clogger if I will go hunting. It is very very tempting. Who wouldn't love seeing Nate dance- but I just can't do it!!

LIFE IS GOOD. Well for those who read my whole bit about getting Phoenixx into his crib, ummm, yah, that didn't work! :) ha. We have been traveling all over the place in the last month. We went to Jackson, and St. George and then just last weekend Portland and Seattle. So to say the least he has not been on a consistant schedule. But I am trying again. The wedding I shot in Portland was so fun! Nate came with me to watch Phoenixx while I worked and it turned out so perfect. I love seeing my husband with my little boy. He is such a help and teaches me how to be grounded and enjoy the present. Phoenixx is turning into a little boy, he can sit up by himself for about 3o seconds. He is so dang smiley and happy. It's hard to ever be in a bad mood around him!

Okay, so I hear all these mom's tell me it is important to get your baby in his own crib and that it will help teach them to fall asleep on their own. Well, I have been putting it off and off for weeks. I couldn't do it, I would try but five minutes into the screams and tears I would brake. Plus it isn't only because Phoenixx has learned to fall asleep only to me that I kept him in bed with me, but because I LOVE cuddling with him. He is so sweet and I didn't want to give up that time with him being a working mom. Well to make a long story short, kind of... I did it! I put him in his crib last night and let him SCREAM! It broke my heart, but once he feel asleep he did really good. I think a couple more nights and we'll be set. I just might be getting this "MOM THING" down! I CAN DO IT!
